Cryptopsy

Cryptopsy is a technical death metal band from Montreal, Canada, formed in 1992. They are known for their extremely fast drumming, complex riffs, and brutal vocals. Their debut album Blasphemy Made Flesh (1994) set a new standard in the genre. They broke through with None So Vile (1996), often hailed as a death metal classic. Frontman Lord Worm was known for his deep growls and theatrical stage presence. Over the years, Cryptopsy experimented with their style, venturing into deathcore on The Unspoken King (2008). This shift divided fans but showcased their willingness to evolve. In later years, the band returned to their technical death metal roots. Their music is chaotic, technical, and relentlessly aggressive. Cryptopsy remains an influential and respected name in the extreme metal scene.
