Hooded Menace

Hooded Menace is a Finnish death-doom band from Joensuu, formed in 2007. Their music drenched in horror atmospheres and heavy riffs takes you through dark, expansive corridors of emotion and raw power.

Founded by guitarist and composer Lasse Pyykkö, Hooded Menace blends deep doom-metal roots with brutal death-metal outbursts. They don’t just channel emotional weight through droning guitar riffs and heavy rhythms—they draw inspiration from classic horror films like Tombs of the Blind Dead. Their early work like Fulfill the Curse (2008) established their reputation for oppressive atmosphere. Later albums such as Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed (2018) and The Tritonus Bell (2021) refine the sound while staying true to the essence: a blend of melancholy, raw power and atmospheric depth.
