With Estuary, Wolves in the Throne Room return with a powerful new chapter in atmospheric black metal. Hailing from Olympia, Washington, the American band have spent more than two decades shaping the sound of Cascadian black metal. Their latest album combines raw aggression, hypnotic guitar melodies and monumental compositions into a dark and immersive listening experience.
Estuary captures a band continuing to explore new musical territory without abandoning their distinctive identity. Tracks such as “Knights of Tiamat”, “Foretold in Reflections” and “Ghosts Among the Obelisks” blend furious black metal passages with haunting atmospheres and gothic influences. The largely analogue production gives the album an organic, powerful sound, while themes of nature, decay and rebirth run throughout the record.
This 2026 Limited Edition is pressed on stunning 140 gram Transparent Orange & Black Marble vinyl and comes housed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with an 8-page booklet. A striking collector's edition of the new Wolves in the Throne Room album for fans of atmospheric black metal and exclusive coloured vinyl.
