With Destroy Erase Improve, Meshuggah released an album in 1995 that would permanently reshape the boundaries of extreme metal. The Swedish band combined technical thrash metal with complex rhythms, unconventional time signatures and crushing, mechanical riffs. The result was a groundbreaking sound that would later have a massive influence on progressive metal and the development of djent.
Tracks such as “Future Breed Machine”, “Soul Burn” and “Suffer in Truth” demonstrate why Destroy Erase Improve is considered one of the most important albums in Meshuggah's career. Its remarkable rhythmic precision, Fredrik Thordendal's inventive guitar work and Jens Kidman's powerful vocals make the album just as intense and innovative today.
Celebrating the album's 30th anniversary, this special 2LP Anniversary Edition comes on stunning Gray, Black & White Marble vinyl, housed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve. An excellent anniversary edition of an absolute classic for fans of technical and progressive metal.
