Before death metal became a worldwide phenomenon, Possessed were already pushing extreme music into terrifying new territory. With their groundbreaking early recordings, the American pioneers helped establish the foundations of an entirely new genre. Long before Seven Churches and Beyond the Gates became legendary albums, Possessed were developing their unmistakable combination of blistering thrash riffs, demonic vocals and relentless aggression.
Demo-Nic takes listeners straight back to those formative years with an extraordinary collection of rare recordings. This impressive 3LP set brings together the legendary Death Metal Demo, a rehearsal recording from 1984 and a live performance from 1987. These raw and uncompromising recordings capture the early evolution of Possessed and offer a fascinating glimpse into the birth of death metal.
This exclusive 2026 Limited Edition comes as a 3LP set on stunning Beer & Black Galaxy vinyl, strictly limited to 400 copies worldwide. The records are housed in a heavy casewrapped slipcase, complete with a substantial 16-page LP-sized booklet. An outstanding collector's edition celebrating the origins of extreme metal and an essential addition to any serious Possessed collection.
