With Axioma Ethica Odini, Enslaved took another powerful step in the evolution of their progressive black metal sound. Originally released in 2010, the Norwegian band combines its black metal roots with progressive structures, atmospheric passages and melodic elements without sacrificing intensity.
Tracks such as “Ethica Odini”, “Raidho” and “Giants” demonstrate how seamlessly Enslaved blend heavy riffs, harsh vocals and clean singing with epic and psychedelic atmospheres. The result is a diverse album that captures both the aggressive and adventurous sides of the band.
This 2019 re-issue via By Norse Music comes on double black vinyl. An excellent vinyl edition of a key album from Enslaved's modern era.
