Slumber of Sullen Eyes is an absolute classic of the Finnish death metal scene. Originally released in 1992, Demigod's debut album became one of the most highly regarded releases from the early Scandinavian death metal underground. The band combines crushing, downtuned guitars with sinister melodies, brutal vocals and an oppressive atmosphere.
Tracks such as “As I Behold I Despise”, “Dead Soul” and “The Forlorn” demonstrate why the album holds such an important place in old school death metal history. The combination of devastating riffs, slower passages and sudden bursts of speed creates a dark and immersive listening experience.
This special edition of Slumber of Sullen Eyes comes on transparent red vinyl, housed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with a unique booklet. An excellent reissue of an essential death metal classic for dedicated fans and collectors.
